Where should I live for my best life possible?
Everyone has different priorities in terms of what they’re looking for in the city where they work and live. Some would rather have a city rife with high-paying jobs, while others would forego some of the dough to have a stronger sense of community. Some care more about the cost of housing, while others think about the beauty of the surrounding environment.
Whatever your priorities are, they’re important to consider when you’re considering where your next career move may take you. But how do you translate knowledge of your priorities into figuring out the best home for you?
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) just released a fun tool that lets you rate how you feel about these different factors then shows you countries that would be a good fit for you, based on their priorities. For example, as someone who cares heavily about work-life balance and life satisfaction, Denmark comes out on top as my top place to live.
Of course, it’s not as easy as picking a country and moving there. But if you’re looking for a change of pace (or just want to do some fun daydreaming), if can be a good activity to get you thinking.
