Computer Vision/AI Engineer, Zurich

Based in Zürich. Permanent employment basis, Full-time hybrid role - 3 days home office per week
You will lead the engineering efforts for a market-leading European ERP provider. This is a pivotal role for a strategic leader ready to modernize a core industry platform and guide a talented, international team through a major technological evolution.
As the new Computer Vision & AI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of advanced AI models and machine learning solutions. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of development from selecting and training models like CNNs or Transformers to integrating them into sophisticated production systems. Joining a team-oriented and communicative environment, you will provide first-class, customer-focused solutions for complex technical challenges.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Develop and implement computer vision solutions, specifically for object detection, classification, and quality inspection.
- Design, train, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models.
- Evaluate and select suitable AI models, including CNNs and Transformers.
- Integrate AI models into existing software, production, or hardware automation systems.
- Collaborate effectively with internal software and hardware development teams.
- Maintain and document models to ensure continuous improvement and long-term reliability.
Other requirements (education, experiences):
- University education in the field of computer science
- Solid knowledge of computer vision and artificial intelligence principles
- Technical proficiency in Python and common frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV.
- Experience in the training, testing, and deployment of AI models
- Understanding of image processing, feature extraction, and data preprocessing.
- Fluent in German (B2+) and English (B2)
