Data Engineer, Oslo
Up to 90,000 NOk per month
Permanent Employment basis, based in Oslo. Hybrid role - 2/3 days home office per week
You will work on behalf of our client, a leading consultancy in Oslo, delivering modern data solutions that help organisations unlock the value of their data. As a Data Engineer, you’ll design and maintain scalable pipelines, develop cloud-based data platforms, and ensure high standards of quality and governance. As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing modern data platforms. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, scalable, and business-driven solutions that enable advanced analytics and AI/ML capabilities. Essential duties & responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust, scalable data pipelines and architectures
- Implement data models, transformation workflows, and integrations
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards
- Collaborate with consultants, analysts, and business stakeholders
- Explore and adopt new technologies to drive innovation
Other Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Proficiency in SQL and Python; Spark/Scala/Java a plus
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Familiarity with tools such as Databricks, Airflow, dbt, or Kafka
- Strong communication skills (English required; Norwegian is a big plus)
