Director of Product, Bavaria

Currently, we are working on behalf of a business on the verge of a huge transformation from a classical retailer of electronic products to a fully online marketplace with big ambitions to move their business model from b2c to b2b, already serving businesses such as Bosch, BMW & Mercedes offering over 10m items!
At the moment, we are looking for top performers in product management. Ideally, people who are experienced in web platforms (ideally some form of a marketplace or eCommerce) to head up and drive our growing Product/Engineering Department.
The main responsibilities would be;
- Overseeing a team of 25 people and being responsible for Coaching & Mentor current PO's
- Define, implement and monitor the progress of department OKR's
- Work closely with CTO to oversee optimal use of resources across the cross-functional teams, monitor & improve performance & set best practice definitions
- Define the data points for KPI’s with help of data science.
- Gather and specify user requirements (Product and Service)
- Define and communicate user, stakeholder and customer personas.
- Support BisDev in rollout planning
- Support Marketing in product / service communication.
- Support Content Delivery regarding usage and impact.
The team works on projects that incorporate a very open culture, short release cycles, continuous delivery as well as valuing high quality.
The basic requirements are as follows;
- A strong track record working as a Product Owner or Product Manager on a web platform, ideally within an e-commerce or marketplace product and held a leadership function on a department level
- Ability to coach, lead and mentor other PO's
- Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
- A good overview of Agile Development Processes & software engineering in general
- Team spirit and good communication abilities
- Fluent English, German would be an advantage
- Permanent employment basis, full-time in Bavaria with flexible home office options
- Salary Range - 90,000 - 130,000 EUR - depending on experience and further benefits
