Senior Full Stack Developer, Oslo

As the new Full-Stack Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of scalable cloud-based applications with a strong emphasis on backend engineering. Working closely with a collaborative product and engineering team, you will help shape technical architecture, improve system scalability, and deliver high-quality software solutions used by a global user base.
You will work extensively with TypeScript, Node.js, React, and AWS technologies, contributing across the full software development lifecycle from backend systems design and API development to frontend implementation and cloud infrastructure improvements. The role offers significant ownership and autonomy, making it ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, contributing ideas, and influencing both technical and product decisions.

Essential duties and responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
- Build and optimize backend systems, APIs, and cloud-native services.
- Contribute to system architecture decisions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Work extensively with AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Improve development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, and system performance.
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support frontend development while maintaining a strong backend engineering focus.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies and contribute ideas to improve products and engineering practices.
- Optionally contribute to integrations and technical solutions connected to simulation platforms and advanced software systems.
Other requirements (education, experience)
- Professional experience within full-stack or backend software engineering.
- Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Solid frontend development experience using React.
- Hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services and Infrastructure as Code.
- Good understanding of backend systems design, scalable architectures, and cloud-native development.
- Experience with CI/CD workflows, testing practices, and modern software engineering methodologies.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new technical areas over time.
- Experience with simulation software integrations such as Microsoft Flight Simulator or X-Plane is considered an advantage but is not required.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Based in Stockholm or willing to relocate.
